Just The Girls started from a need to find softball related merchandise for our daughter. Since we found ourselves at a tournament almost every weekend of the year, we decided to begin setting up at tournaments in the Houston area hoping there were others looking for the same things we were. In the beginning, we focused solely on softball gear, but soon realized just how many 2, 3, 4, and even 5 sport female athletes were out there. While, after 3 years, softball items still make up a large part of our inventory, we have branched out to cover other sports girls are involved in.
In 2003, we opened a shop/showroom behind our home. The response has been great, so we decided to take the next logical step and open an online store. Our online store will offer some of our most popular Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, and Cheer merchandise such as T-shirts, shorts, socks, fleece blankets, hair accessories, hoodies, sweats, jewelry, purses, sports bags, towels, pj pants, visors, tanks, fleece headbands, and much more. We print the majority of our merchandise ourselves, but also offer items from some of the best vendors in the industry.
In 2005, our online store becomes more than we could ever expect. Christmas season was just fantastic, we exceeded our projected goals all the way around. The online store passed the 10,000 hits mark. We are shipping orders all over the United States.
In 2006, our online store gets double the amount of hits it received the year before. What can I say
another fantastic year under our belt. This year is a year of evaluation, what to keep & what to let
go of for right now. I plan to grow the Softball, Basketball, & Volleyball lines this year as much as
possible. I am so excited to see what the new year brings.
In 2007, our online store got a makeover, I am driven to make "Just
The Girls" a one-stop athletic fashion stop. This year I plan to add many new
features to each line. This has been a great year for growth in all aspects of my
business, so on to a new year.
